EDCO is an independent, non-profit, incorporated association of persons engaged in economic development. Members of EDCO are regularly exposed to new ideas in the ever expanding field of economic development.

Today's membership embraces a broad spectrum of development individuals at all levels... each adding their specialized knowledge to the growing accumulation of valuable information available through the Council. The Council holds one annual conference and several professional development events in different communities throughout Ontario.

MILTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Milton Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, membership-based, volunteer driven, organization representing over 750 member businesses and individuals. The Milton Chamber's primary role is advocacy, fostering a business-friendly environment and allowing the free enterprise system to thrive.

The Chamber acts as a partner to member businesses by promoting them through member-to-member advertising, member-first referrals and Chamber sponsored publications and events.

MILTON DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA

The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area was established in 1977 and is an area defined and mandated under municipal legislation. The role of the BIA is to allow property owners and business operators to join together and, with the support of the municipality organize, finance and promote economic development in the BIA district.

Specific tasks include beautification, event management, marketing and enhancing relationships with government and community organizations.
